Architectural drawings: section A-B; front elevation; side elevation; second floor plan; beams show on this plan support first floor; first floor plan, foundation plan, framing plan of dome; attic floor plan, roof plan; detail of terra cotta and steel (2); plan of mezzanine floors. Subsequent to the Rotunda fire of 1895, the McDonald Bros. were initially commissioned (by a building committee of the Board of Visitors) to do the restoration work on the Rotunda. Upon their withdrawal from the project and compensation for their services, the firm of McKim, Mead, and White of New York was employed.
